Advocacy & Involvement

In 2020, I co-founded the Asian/American Studies Collective, a research focus group that aims to further the interdisciplinary study of the historical and contemporary experiences of racialized Asian populations in the United States and beyond.

I recently became a co-host for the New Books Network in Asian American Studies podcast. I look forward to highlighting the new and exciting works in Asian American studies. You can find my host page at this link here

AAAS History Section

I presently serve as the graduate student representative for the Association of Asian American Studies (AAAS) History Section, whose objective is to create a forum for historians in Asian American studies, in an effort to connect intellectually and socially.

The Asian Pacific Islander Graduate Student Alliance (APIGSA) at UC Santa Barbara is an organization that strives to create and maintain spaces of support for graduate students of Asian panethnicity while advocating for a more critically accurate representation of Asian American students. I served on APIGSA's executive board from 2018-2021.
